International students: income abroad
The University of Milan asks for income documents only from students whose family lives in one of the 77 countries of Annex 1 of its call (mostly high-income ones such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, the Gulf states and EU countries) and calculates the ISEE parificato itself. Students from every other country, including India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh and Iran, are placed in the first income band, the one with the highest amount; the university can ask for the documents later to check.
Bangladesh, Nepal and the other particularly poor countries are not in Annex 1, so their students are placed in the first band like everyone outside it. How the indicator is calculated: ISEE parificato.

The visa is separate
The scholarship does not replace the visa funds: you must show €10,179.85 a year, and a DSU scholarship counts only once it has been awarded. Visa funds and permit costs.
