The 2026/27 DSU calls closed between 22 July 2026 (DiSCo Lazio) and 30 September 2026 (University of Milan (UniMi)), according to the official calls of 9 agencies and universities read on 31 October 2026. Some still accept income-abroad documents from applicants: ERSU Palermo until 30 November 2026, ERSU Catania until 30 November 2026, DiSCo Lazio until 10 December 2026, ADISU Campania until 31 March 2027.

How the amount is set
The Ministry sets minimum amounts each year: for 2026/27 €7,171.11 for an off-campus student, €4,190.71 for a commuter and €2,890.16 for a student living at home, 1.4% more than in 2025/26. The full amount is paid when the ISEE is up to two thirds of the agency's limit; above that it falls, down to half. Most calls add 15% when the ISEE is up to half of the limit, which gives €8,246.78 for an off-campus student.

What is the DSU scholarship deadline for 2027/28?
No 2027/28 call has been published yet. The 2026/27 calls we read opened between 5 June 2026 and 24 July 2026: check your agency's site from June 2027.
Can I apply for a DSU scholarship before I get the visa?
Yes. The calls are open to students who are not enrolled yet, and several agencies give international students more time for the income documents. The scholarship counts for the visa only once it has been awarded.
