Residence without working, for people who live on savings, a pension or passive income (Royal Decree 1155/2024, article 62). Official name: Autorización de residencia temporal no lucrativa.
How the amount is calculated
Rule: 400% of the IPREM a month for the main applicant, plus 100% of the IPREM a month for each family member in your care.
IPREM = €600 a month (€7,200 a year), set by the 2023 State Budget Law and still in force in 2026.
In force: 2026 (unchanged since 2023). The IPREM changes only when a new State Budget Law (or a decree) sets it: check every January.
Source of the index: Ley 31/2022, de Presupuestos Generales del Estado para el año 2023, disposición adicional nonagésima (BOE-A-2022-22128), checked on 10 October 2026; SEPE – Cuantías anuales (SMI and IPREM 2026), checked on 10 October 2026
Income that counts: Funds or regular income (pensions, rents, investments); you may not work in Spain.
