How the figure compares with the rule in pesos

The guidelines' MXN 79,770.80 (680 × MXN 117.31) divided by £3,425.91 gives a rate of about 23.28 pesos per pound: the embassy converted the peso amount with its own rate when it updated the page (PDF dated 2 February 2026). At ECB rates of 30 October 2026 the peso amount is ≈ £3,149.

None of the consulate pages we read asks for health insurance for a temporary or permanent resident visa: they ask for a passport, a photo, proof of income or savings and the fee. If you want health cover for the months you travel and settle in, compare policies before you go.
